Bioinformatics & Computational Biology
Genomics pipelines, AI-driven drug discovery.
Computational biology has been transformed by foundation models for protein structure (AlphaFold 3, RoseTTAFold All-Atom, ESMFold) and de novo design (RFdiffusion, Chroma), shifting drug discovery from screening to designing. The track will explore AI-first discovery platforms (Isomorphic Labs, Recursion, Insilico Medicine, Xaira), single-cell multi-omics atlases including the Human Cell Atlas, and large language models trained on biological sequences such as Evo and Nucleotide Transformer. Sessions will also cover spatial transcriptomics (Visium HD, MERFISH, Stereo-seq), perturbation screens with Perturb-seq, and federated learning for multi-institutional clinical genomics.
